I have the honour to acknowledge the
receipt of your letter No.15865 dated 8th. April
asking on behalf of the Army Council for
particulars of cables laid at Hong Kong by the
Colonial Authorities.

In reply I transmit for the information
of the Secretary of State the enclosed copy of a
letter from Messrs,Preece Cardew & Rider, and
attached particulars of a cable laid in 1915 and
others in course of construction.
3.
We have no further information concerning
cables at Hong Kong, and anything more, if required,
would have to be obtained from the Dolony.
